Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the R&B vocalist on one CD. From North Carolina, the story goes that the success of his Michael Jackson tribute in a talent show fuelled a desire to pursue a music career. Beyond his vocal skills, O'Bryan Burnette II further developed his abilities as a musician and upon a family's move to Santa Ana, California became part of the Young Adult Choir of the Second Baptiste Church. Going on around him was the explosion of soul and disco, Soul Train bringing it to the masses on TV and producer Don Cornelius being integral to the show and O'Bryan's career. They worked together on Doin' Alright, the album which spawned the title track 'rare groove' signature song of an artist and genre, and later the TV show's theme tune "Soul Train's a Comin'" which ran between 1983 and 1987. This features on the sophomore album You And I, the title being a Steve Wonder song while "Together Always" is regarded as one of O'Bryan's finest moments as soul balladeer singer and songwriter.
