Dog Day [DVD] (1984)

This French gangster film (originally titled, Canicule) stars screen legend Lee Marvin (The Dirty Dozen; Paint Your Wagon; The Big Red One) in one of his last film roles as Jimmy Cobb, an American bank robber on the run from the police in France. Carrying his stolen loot he ends up in rural Normandy where he takes refuge with a farming family, who unfortunately for him are significantly more dangerous, not to mention disturbed than he is. Co-stars include Miou-Miou (Les Valseuses; La lectrice; Germinal), Jean Carmet (Buffet Froid; Germinal), Victor Lanoux (Cousin Cousine; Pardon Mon Affaire), David Bennent (The Tin Drum; Legend), Bernadette Lafont (A Georgeous Girl Like Me; The Mother and the Whore) & in a brief role, Tina Louise (The Stepford Wives; Tv's - Gilligan's Island).
