Product Description The Dog Bone Game Recovery BloodTrail training scent dripper is a Training Scent that has been designed to allow for you to introduce your pup or dog to the scent that a wounded animal gives off. When training our dog to track or trail there are several elements of scent that come into play. In training, we are attempting to simulate as many of these scenarios as possible in order to allow for our dogs to essentially problem solve the situation and put as many pieces of the puzzle together in order to allow for the recovery of the animal. The BloodTrail Scent Dripper allows us to do this by simulating the dripping effect of a bleeding animal in varying degrees of volume. (Early on in training we use scent liberally to ensure success in training and build our dogs confidence. As training progresses, we are able to use the scent at varying rates and in situations to emphasize locations in the trail (sharp direction changes, backtracks, terrain or landscape barriers, etc) We also use the BloodTrail Scent in training scenarios such as laying scent trails using tennis balls as these balls hold scent very well and also connect a positive object such as a tennis ball to the scent of the track or trail.
