Signs are unpainted on the backside. Sign measures approximately 14" x 7 1/2". The Fine Print... All signs are hand-painted (only black is spray painted first) & made to order. Signs are unfinished on the backside. Signs are painted on new, pine wood and are not weather treated. I do spray a light clear topcoat on the front and all sides. Please take note that there may be typical wood markings and knots on some signs. This is normal and adds to the authenticity of these hand-painted signs. They are not perfect like factory "Made in China", polyresin signs you may find on every other store shelf. I think you will agree with me that this is what makes these so special and one-of-a-kind! If you wish to display outdoors I do recommend a coat or two of clear (non-yellowing) spray polyurethane to add years to the life of your sign.
