This Dixon DCP20B brass Air Chief industrial interchange quick-connect 1/4" air hose plug has a 1/4" female NPT threaded end, valveless construction, and connects to Air Chief industrial interchange quick connect couplers. The female National Pipe Thread (NPT) connection end connects to male threaded pipes. Brass is corrosive resistant, ductile at high temperatures, and has a low magnetic permeability. This plug's maximum working pressure (MWP) is 300 pounds per square inch (psi) (20.41 bar) in a temperature range from -40 to +250 degrees F (-40 to +121.11 degrees C), with a flow of 37 cubic feet per minute (CFM) at 100 psi. The valveless construction allows flow when the plug is disconnected. This plug conforms to MIL-C-4109F/A-A-59439 specifications for quick-disconnect couplings for hoses and portable pneumatic tools, but not water or fluids, at maximum working pressures up to 232 psi (16 bar).It is used for air service only. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications. Hose fittings are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation. Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures pipe and hose fittings and accessories. The company, founded in 1916, is based in Chestertown, Maryland.
