Brugmansias are a large species of tall growing, semi tropical, flowering tree like shrubs that are native to South America. They produce big, scented, hanging, trumpet shaped flowers several times year; offering unmatched uniqueness, beauty and fragrance Most Brugmansias reach mature at approx 10-12 ft with an equal or larger spread.
Director Jarra is a seedling hybrid cross (Summertime x Charleston registered and released by Chapel Farms in 2011 The plant grows lush and full with big veined leaves, maturing at around 8 to 10 feet. The flowers of Director Jarra are large flower in flower triples- with short, curving whiskers. They open as a green to yellow toned translucent white holding second and third layers of petals of soft pastel green toned yellow. The buds can take up to a couple of weeks to fully open, and mature over that time to a soft ivory to white. The flowers hang almost vertical and have light sweet citrus noted scent.
