A colorful mix of hardy flowers that look like tall spikes and grows up to 6.5 feet tall, in colors white, pink, blue, deep indigo, and violet. Start seeds in spring 8-10 weeks before the last frost or in the fall. It is important to stratify the seeds first. Place them on a moist towel, fold it over, and put in a plastic bag. Store in a fridge at a temperature of 65-75°F for 36 hours. Do not let the paper towel dry out. Sow seeds 1/8-inch deep in the sterile seed-starting compost, 1 inch apart, and mist with water. Keep the soil moist and at a temperature of 70-75°F. Provide enough light. Once 2-3 true leaves appear transplant outside 1 foot apart in a partially shaded area with moist, fast-draining soil, enriched with compost. Arrange support or grow plants through a wide netting.
