All our seeds are Home Grown in the USA - Isla's Garden A long oblong-shaped squash with a cream colored, green striped thick outer skin and a golden fine-textured inner flesh. Considered as a novelty squash, its size may range from 5 to 10 inches in length with an average weight of 1 to 2 pounds. Squash plants are heavy feeders. Work compost and plenty of organic matter into the soil before planting for a rich soil base. To germinate outside, use cloche or frame protection in cold climates for the first few weeks. Plant seeds about one-inch deep and 2 to 3 feet apart in a traditional garden bed. 100 days. This squash is absolutely delicious compared to most squash's. The taste is slightly sweet in flavor and has a creamy pulp that is fabulous! Grows fruits roughly 7 to 10 inches long, pale cream in color with green stripes and small speckles. Thinner skin than some other winter squashes reduces the storage potential to about a month, but they will be eaten way before that! So yummy!
