Young, tender pods are boiled and eaten like green beans or snow peas or used as a curry vegetable. Popular in the Asian tropics. The leaves can be eaten like spinach, and the flowers can be eaten raw, steamed, or added to soups or stews. Dried seeds are cooked in any of the ways commonly used for beans.
