These fast growing Datura (Devil's Trumpet) have fragrant, LARGE, TRIPLE, pure WHITE trumpet shaped blooms about 10 inches long and 5-6 inches ACROSS - they are really large, the largest datura metel I have grown!! The blooms face upward and attract hummingbirds and sphynix moths as well as butterflies. These are excellent for your NIGHT GARDEN with stunning pure white blooms that last DAY AND NIGHT! The blooms are replaced with interesting, thorny-looking seed pods that reach 2" in diameter and, when ready, pop open to re-seed themselves in your garden. The plant is more of a bush than a tree and reaches 3 feet tall. Datura is a perennial in zones 9 and up and usually lives about 4 or 5 years under good conditions. For colder climates, grow as annuals by simply saving some seeds and re-sowing each spring or let the plant re-seed itself!
