Common Bearberry is a plant which grows in northern latitudes adapted to Subarctic and arctic climate. Its specific name uva-ursi means "grape of the bear" in Latin because it is a favourite food for bears. Known also as Uva ursi, hogberry, manzanita, kinnikinnik, rockberry, beargrape. To prepare an infusion, take 1 tsp of Common Bearberry Leaf and add 200 ml hot (not boiling) water. Let it steep 5-15 minutes. After this time strain the beverage and drink. You can also make cold-water maceration by pouring 1 tsp of Common Bearberry Leaf of 200 ml cold water. Leave it ti macerate by 6-12 hours. After this time strain the mixture and heat before consumption.
