Born December 28th, 1918 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, he launched his career in Chicago first attending the American Academy of Art and the Chicago Art Institute and subsequently working for the 'Chicago Tribune'. He also created some striking posters for American Airlines. Later, he moved and settled in New York City where he continued his career and education.
