Very hardy and drought tolerant, Sedum acre (Gold Moss) is a low growing, mat-forming, evergreen succulent perennial with tangled stems clothed with conical, bright green leaves. Small clusters of tiny, star-shaped, bright yellow flowers, adorned with protruding stamens, bloom just above the foliage throughout most of the summer. Vigorous, Sedum acre spreads quickly and can be used to create a cheerful groundcover. It is also wonderful spilling over rock walls and cascading from containers. Possible lawn substitute with minimal foot traffic. Terrific for sunny areas with poor dry soil. Best grown in full sun, in poor to moderately fertile,dry to medium moisture,well-drained soils.Thrives in shallow, rocky, limestone to sandstone soil. Water occasionally once established.
