Saponaria officinalis (Soapwort) is a rhizomatous perennial forming wide clumps of upright stems clad with lance-shaped dark green leaves. Native to Eurasia, this Saponaria species has naturalized throughout much of North America. This is an attractive plant with a long blooming period.
