These sakura blossom earrings are not only beautiful but are also carrying a deep symbolical meaning. The national flower of Japan, the cherry blossom, or Sakura, represents a time of renewal and optimism. The little pink blossoms mark the ending of winter and the beginning of spring. The cherry blossom ornaments are handpainted by me and inspired by the floral elements of vintage enamel flower jewelry of the Regency Era and Art Noveau in the 19th century. The coloring details on these flowers have been painted on with acryllic paint and coated with epoxy resin and in the center of all flower petals a zirkonia crystal is sparkling.
