Over time, Number Six went through many subtle changes due to the availability, quality, and extraction methods of the numerous ingredients in the Number Six recipe. In 2017 Caswell-Massey went back to the original recipe to restore an all-natural update true to the original fragrance while elevating the natural botanical ingredients and finding exquisite new modern molecules to replace animal ingredients such as musk and amber from the original recipe.
