Carico Cafe Connoisseur, an FDA-registered company, has two main goals: to deliver premium coffee at a reasonable price as well as to empower and uplift communities in Africa while employing sustainable farming processes.
Our coffee's journey begins around Mt. Elgon in Uganda, 1300 meters above sea level in rich volcanic loam soils. The coffee is grown on small plantations under the shade of bananas and is hand-processed to produce a medium body coffee with low acidity. We add Ugandan robusta to increase the body of the coffee. Ugandan farmers are given the training and tools they need to grow and rotate the crops sustainably, as well as know which crops to hand-pick for quality.
Once the crops are ready for processing, they are sent to South Africa to be hand-roasted by our expert baristas to maximize sweetness and aroma.
The journey ends with the final product being shipped to the United States and your doorstep, where its clean flavor and consistent profile can be savored.
