Peacock plant needs bright, indirect, or filtered light. Too little light can stunt its growth and harsh direct sunlight can burn its leaves. This plant has medium water requirements. Aim to keep the soil relatively moist but not waterlogged. This plant prefers soils that can retain moisture but still drain well. You can mix your own soil with 2 parts peat and 1 part sand or perlite. This plant thrives in temperatures of 60°F-75°F and a high humidity level (over 60%). Mist your plant and use a humidifier when the weather is dry. This plant should be fertilized once per month during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
