Burdock is a plant native to Eurasia, it belongs to the sunflower family. Other names of that plant are greater burdock, gob?, edible burdock, lappa, beggar's buttons, thorny burr, or happy major. It is cultivated for its root used as an ingredient for many Japanese dishes. The root was traditionally used in Britain as a flavouring in the herbal drink dandelion and burdock. To prepare a burdock tea, take 2 tsp of Burdock Root, place them into a teapot, add 2 cups of filtered water and boil. Remove from the heat after 2-3 minutes. Steep it for 5-10 minutes, then strain and drink. You can add some honey or stevia powder for better taste.
