Unusual flowers that are easy to grow and are drought and cold tolerant. They will bloom in the 2nd year.
Seeds can be sown in the spring after a cold treatment or can be winter-sown in the late fall or winter. If planted in the spring, place the seeds between a damp towel, seal in a plastic zip-lock bag and keep in the refrigerator for 8-12 weeks. Afterward, sprinkle seeds over moist potting mix, cover them with a bare dusting of potting mix, and place in a cool bright place. Water regularly and plant outside after the last frost date. If planted in the fall, keep them preferably outside in a covered plastic container with holes poked in for air movement.
