This is a genuine Black and Decker VF110 Replacement Dust Buster Avec Dust Cup Filter Assembly, Black & Decker part number VF110. This filter is located at the top of the dust cup, and is used to capture dust and other debris from going into the motor. We recommend removing the filter after every 3-4 vacuuming's and either use another vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to clean the dust which is caught in the filter, or rinse the filter under water. IMPORTANT make sure the filter is 100% air dried before re-installing it into the vacuum cleaner. Some prefer to have two filters so they always have a clean, dry filter to use.
