Beautiful large black pepper that produces an exceptional sweet fruit, weighing 7-8 oz. Medium early, high yield variety. Start indoor 8-10 weeks before last frost. Use paper towel method for successful germination. Wash your hands. Spray a half of a paper towel with water until damp, put seeds on it and fold it in half. Place the towel with seeds inside a ziplock bag. Close the bag but leave 1-inch open for air circulation. It is particularly important to place the bag on a warm spot such as heat mat at temperature 80-90°F. Spay towel each day to keep it damp.  Once sprouted immediately put sprouts into soil in light area. Carefully cut the piece of towel with seedlings instead of pulling to not disturb the roots. Plant seedlings ¼ inches deep in seed starting soil and slightly cover with soil. Place under the growing light.  When plant is 12 inch or taller, they can be transplanted outside. Danger of last frost should be passed, and the soil must be at least 65°F.Plant in fertile, well composted soil, mulch 18 inch apart and water. You can cover the rows early in the season to keep the plants extra warm. Side dress when flowers begin to form.
