All Natural Bee Attractant Lure: This spray will help attract mason bees to the house. Just spritz the mason bee house 2-3 times, every two weeks. Do not over spray your bee house, a small amount is all that is needed. Stop application once bees arrive. Clay and Mud Pool Liner: Without a mud source, bees may come to your house, but they certainly won't be there to stay. Bees need a mud source in order to nest. Using a shovel, dig a small hole in the ground. This mud pool should be within 25 feet of your mason bee house. Fill the plastic liner inside of the bag labeled "mud pool" with the soil from the hole. The hole should be 6-8 inches deep. Depending on the texture of the soil in your area, you may want to mix in clay. The texture should be similar to clay or dough and stick together when wet and pinched. Once the desired texture is achieved, you can place the bag of mix back into the hole and level with the surrounding area. Using this liner will make sure the mud does not drain, keeping your clay source wet throughout the whole season. If you live in a wet area, it may not be necessary to use the liner. Wildflower Pollinator Seed Mix: This mix of 24 different North American Wildflowers contains seeds to the flowers that attract bees the best! Find a small section of soil within 25 feet of the mason bee home. When these seeds are planted in the fall, they will blossom in early spring. When spring/summer planted, there will be some flowering, but most will not flower until the following spring. The mix grows to about 36-40 inches tall. Plant these seeds once and you'll have colorful flowers year after year, creating the ideal environment for your bees.
