Historically the baseboard heater industry has been plagued with cheap, thin steel covers that were easily damaged and prone to falling apart when a vacuum cleaner got a bit too close. It seems the original finned tube element manufacturers thought it was acceptable to expect home owners to constantly paint their covers. Baseboarders Premium has a solid reputation as the better solution. Holes are 1/8" in diameter to allow proper airflow. Intended for hydronic (hot water) baseboard heaters, but will work for electric baseboard heaters. Use basic precautions when using with electric baseboard heaters, as they operate at higher surface temperatures. Baseboarders products will become just as hot as the original.
