The ARO 10 is a compact SUV produced by the Romanian company ARO between 1980 and 2006. The assembly was also carried out by the Italian company Ali Ciemme (ACM) in 1988-1991. It was available in a 3-and 5-door SUV, a 2- and 4-door pickup, or a 2-door convertible. As a power unit used inline four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Power transmitted on both axes. The car was equipped with 4-and 5-speed manual gearbox. The ARO 10 was a smaller model of the ARO 24 SUV, developed by the Romanian company ARO, whose production began in the 1970s. The car used the engine and some of the components of the cars Dacia 1300 / Dacia 1410, manufactured under a French license. The car body was mounted on a carrier frame. The front suspension was independent, on transverse levers with springs, the rear suspension was independent at the very beginning of production, also on transverse levers, and later on a rigid axle on longitudinal springs. The car has a 4-wheel drive, while the front-wheel drive is activated by a lever located next to the gear lever. In addition, there are handles on the front wheels that allow you to disconnect the wheel hubs from the transmission.
