These nitrate/nitrite tests use the most accurate method for nitrate/nitrite testing: a one step, one minute, nitrate/nitrite test. Check nitrate/nitrite levels if you are seeing excess chlorine demand. Positive nitrate test also indicates the potential for algae growth. Dip and read test strips give results for both in less than one minute. For a clean and healthy pool, test the water at each end a minimum of twice a week.
