JEAN DROIT (1884-1961) Jean Droit was a painter, illustrator, writer, publicist, scout, teacher and outstanding educator. From his early youth, he appeared as a born artist, watercolorist first. His posters and illustrations were published by numerous magazines and books and were universally known and appreciated. Shortly before 1914, he designed the stage outfits on the Belgian Army. He was commissioned by the Olympic Committee to design the official poster for the VIII Olympic Summer Games 1924 in Paris, France. His works, often marked with this refinement of the Belle Epoque, have a subtle shade of romanticism and portrayed well his whole personality.
