Andras Schiff Plays Chopin: 24 Preludes Op. 28 & Schiff On Chopin

This recital was filmed in the beautiful, meticulously restored Ancien Conservatoire in Paris, where the composer himself frequently gave concerts. The 24 Preludes are amongst Chopin's most wonderful and important works. Also included on this DVD is a documentary wherein Andras Schiff, one of today's great pianists, charts Chopin's life, explores his genius and plays substantial extracts from his work. A wealth of archive material is employed to document the composer's story.
