Take a peek at this pretty pink succulent! Native to South Africa's rocky slopes, Anacampseros telephiastrum variegata, Sunrise will do well on a sunny windowsill. The "sunrise" moniker is certainly a good fit, as colors of lime, emerald, light pink, and deep rose wash over the rosettes. While the plant is small, it will grow longer with time, either trailing out over the edge of a pot or forming a dense mat. Rock gardens, containers, raised beds, and terraces are other welcome homes for this "filler" or "spiller" plant. In the summertime, you can expect small flowers to appear. Though the succulent tolerates drought and high heat, it will need plenty of water. Watch for the leaves to wrinkle. If they do, it is well past time for your plant to get a drink.
