Chapter 2: Amtrak's California Zephyr In this episode you will take the ride of a lifetime across the Great American West aboard Amtrak's California Zephyr. Your train adventure starts in Chicago and winds westward through America's heartland. During the course of the 2,400-mile journey, you will travel through the broad vistas of the Great Plains, the canyons of western Colorado, and cross the peaks of the high Sierras before finally arriving in Los Angeles.
