This balancing module is used for lithium battery charging which has no balancing.
Balancing charging would ensure each battery cell being fully charged at same time. This balancing module has no charge/discharge protection function, so it can not replace protection board.
When charging, it discharge battery which is fully charged first by resistor in order to balance current. It could balance voltage and current, used for 3S 11.1V 18650 Li-ion or 12.6V Li-polymer battery charging.
