ARTISAN STORY: In Thailand, most Karen live in the mountains and densely forested regions. While Karen hill tribe artisans are mostly known to use silver between 99.5 to 99.9 percent purity, other metals such as Brass and Nickel are used to meet high demand in Western markets. Hand-tooling, or chiseling, is a unique trademark of the Karen hill tribe and have been passed down from generation to generation. Each piece of jewelry is captivating beautiful and has been formed by the hands of skilled Karen craftsmen.
