Adam’s Blue Compound Pad combines a closed cell foam surface with a tapered, flat-face into one pad. The closed cell foam has a rigid structure at first touch, but upon working the pad for a few passes, the pad begins to soften and refine your polishing experience. The stiffer start to your paint correction process will help to cut and remove scratches, oxidation, and hazing from the paint, however, as you continue to work the compound in your first step the foam begins to soften. By doing this, your compound can achieve a more effective working time and the larger diminishing abrasives can be refined further into a polish-state. After use of Adam’s Microfiber Cutting pad, the surface can have a tendency to have a haze from the correction-- this is normal as the microfiber will focus mainly on cutting, rather than polishing the surface to a fine finish.
