This breakout board provides a convenient way to start using the popular VL53L0X, a Time-of-Flight Ranging and Distance Sensor Module. The VL53L0X is a new generation Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging module housed in the smallest package on the market today. It provides accurate distance measurement (up to 2m) whatever the target reflectances are—unlike conventional technologies. The board includes an I2C interface for reading the measured values using our preferred microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, ESP8266) and single-board computers (e.g., Raspberry Pi). This high-precision sensor can measure distance with 5% accuracy in the 20 to 120cm range! The VL53L0X uses ST's FlightSense technology to measure how long it takes for emitted pulses of a tiny infrared laser to reach the nearest object and be reflected back to a detector. As both the laser emitter and detector are embedded in the VL53L0X package, if offers a self-contained solution for LiDAR systems. Features: Power Supply: 2.6~5VDC This breakout PCB facilitates using the VL53L0X sensor, specially on solderless breadboards! Sturdy (1.6mm), blue PCB with a 6-pin header on on side (VCC, GND, SDA, SCL, GPIO1, and XSHUT) 6-Pin header included (soldering needed!)
