What is 316 stainless steel?
Similar to 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel has high amount of chromium (18%) and nickel (10%).
A major different between 304 and 316 is the chemical composition, 316 contains 2% molybdenum. The higher molybdenum content results in 316 processing increased corrosion resistance and better acid alkali resistant.
