This set of plain travertine tile coasters are a beautiful product of nature. The tumbled travertine tile is a natural stone making each piece of stone individual in its design and colors. While the set will match it stone will look slightly different from the next due to the wonderful natural pattern of specks of color, streaks, grooves, small holes, chips, and rounded corners. Each travertine coaster is backed with a 3.5" by 3.5" piece of adhesive cork to protect any surface they are placed on. While adhesive cork is expensive, it allows for a smooth and permanent attachment. This is compared to using regular cork with hot glue that leaves the cork bumpy and makes the coaster uneven. These tile coasters are also completely natural. Which means that no sealant is applied. They are solely tile and cork which allows for maximum water absorption that sealed coasters simply does not provide. Each tile is roughly 4 inches by 4 inches and 3/8 inches tall (( with cork approx. 7/16" tall )) The coaster pictured are just a representation of the set you will receive. Each set is made to order which makes your set a one of a kind custom set. To clean: ? Use a damp cloth, when the coaster gets wet it will turn a tan color, it will dry by to normal color, however they may stain if a liquid other than water sits on them. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave sitting in water since the cork might get ruined.
