Our Grade 8 bolts are made of tempered medium carbon alloy steel and finished in yellow zinc for added corrosion resistance. These bolts are typically used in high stress joints where high strength and hardness are needed. Our Grade 2 Hot Dipped Galvanized bolts are made of low carbon steel and finished in a thick layer of zinc for long-term corrosion resistance.
