This stainless steel mechanical fan clutch adapter by Checkered Flag Performance is used to convert your original 2003 - 2007 6.0L Powerstroke diesel's electric fan clutch to the mechanical fan clutch from a 1997 7.3 Powerstroke diesel. Compatibility: Using this adapter, you can remove the original electric fan clutch on your 2003 - 2007 6.0 Powerstroke and then install the more reliable and robust mechanical fan clutch from a 1997 7.3 Power stroke diesel (must use fan clutch from 1997 7.3 Powerstroke.) You will still use your original 6.0 fan. This high quality part is made of solid stainless steel. It is not chrome plated steel, zinc, aluminum or other metal that will eventually rust or corrode.
