FITS FOR FORD 6.0L - 7.3L POWERSTROKE Diesel Mechanical Fan Clutch Adaptor for Ford models dated 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007. COMPATIBLE WITH 1997 7.3L FORD This adapter is compatible with the 1997 7.3L Ford fan clutch ONLY. The 6.0 powerstroke fan will bolt to the 1997 for fan clutch USING INSTRUCTION This Fan Clutch Adaptor will allow you to convert your mechanical fan clutch adapter from the electrical, computer-controlled 6.0L cooling fan assembly to the rugged, mechanical fan clutch found on the 1997 Ford 7.3L diesel. Attention: Using a mechanical fan clutch to replace the stock electronic clutch will result in stored trouble codes (soft codes that should not turn on the "Service Engine Soon" light). IMPORTANT NOTE: Must use a mechanical fan clutch from a 1997 model Ford 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel trunk only. This will cause a soft fan clutch code because the OE fan clutch is electronic and the electronic fan clutch is being removed gradually.
