CUP PROFILE Bugisu coffee has more body than most other East African coffees, and somewhat lower acidity. It's got a rich body with a buttery texture, mild acidity and a dry finish, like a good red wine. Notes of cocoa powder, molasses and cherry-plum shine in this organic Ugandan coffee. ROAST PROFILE: This Ugandan Coffee excelled at roasts ranging from a City through a Full City + with just a hint of 2nd crack is awesome. There is a moderate brightness, excellent body, fruity dark cherry-plum notes, and an undercurrent of Earl Grey tea in the background. Enjoy this coffees very ripe/dark fruit flavors and dark brown sugar tastes. Allow roast to rest 48 hours to allow body to develop. FARM PROFILE: Bugisu is a region in eastern Uganda (borders Kenya) and coffee there is grown at moderately high elevations (1,800 to 2,600 meters) on the slopes of Mount Elgon.
