46' Locking Bar WITH Drill Bit (for 4-Drawer File Cabinets)

This product is a kit containing two items. The first item is a Guardian 4-drawer File Cabinet Locking Bar. The second item is the industrial Cobalt drill bit needed for installation to save you a trip to the hardware store. This locking bar is an excellent way to secure your files and comply with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI Compliance, and other privacy regulations. It’s easy to install on any standard filing cabinet. It installs onto the 1/2” frame on the left or right side of the drawers (see picture). THIS ITEM REQUIRES THE USE OF A PADLOCK. A padlock is not included, but we recommend the use of an ABUS 55/40 padlock which can be purchased on this site in the keyed-alike or keyed-different versions. The shackle diameter of the padlock must be either 1/4' or 5/16”. This 4-drawer file locking bar is 46” long and needs to only cover a portion of every drawer you intend to secure. Using the file bar is simple. While the file locking bar is open, one of the center hinges is spring-loaded so it is held open and won't accidentally close and interfere with your drawer opening. It also does not interfere with the drawers on any adjoining file cabinet. To secure the file cabinet, you simply close the cover on the file locking bar, lower the handle, and insert a padlock at the top.
