Open the lid to the position you required, mark a point at 1/3 to halfway from the hinge to the opposite side of the lid as the upper mounting point 2. The lower mounting point is often just blow the upper mounting point. Keep in mind that the strut does not need to be perfectly vertical Adjustment method: If you feel it is is too weak, move the mount point on the lid opposites to the hinge direction; If you feel the pressure is too strong when open/close , move the mount point on the lid closer to the hinge direction to reduce the pressure played by the struts.
