Sow Chess comes from the Arabic word for change, and this game is probably the most varied disk game in the world. It is played by placing seeds or small stones on a disk representing pits. The disk is 2 rows of 6 columns (or sometimes 4 columns) of 12 pits, with a larger pit at each end. The object of the game is to put as many seeds as possible into the bowl that represents you. Usually two players, each choosing a row, place a large bowl at one end of each row and start play by placing 4 seeds in each of the 12 small pits. The two players take turns, first taking all the seeds from all the pits belonging to them, and then sowing seeds (by placing a small item) into each pit, one at a time, in clockwise order, including one seed into the large bowl (not in the opponent's large pit).
