ROAST PROFILE Similar to its neighboring Kenyan coffee, this Rwanda coffee exhibits a very fine body and brightness along with an exquisite balance and a zesty, clean tasting cup. At City and City+ roast levels, this coffee shows a brisk tea-like acidity with complex dried stone fruit top notes of dried fig and berry jam that come through in the aroma and an underlying tamarind finish as the coffee cools. The cup has a buttery toffee flavor when roasted to City/City+ levels with layers of caramelizing sugar sweetness. Try extending the roast to build a little more body and undertones. FARM PROFILE Our Rainforest Alliance certified Rwanda coffee is farmed on the fertile and high altitude region around the Kivu Lake. This coffee is produced by the 2,000 plus small holder farmers of the COOPAC Co-operative from communities in the Rubavu and the Rutsiro districts, located in the Western Province of Rwanda.
