Harvesting Guide:
Broccolis heads are ready for harvest when they have a deep green color and tight, small buds. If you notice the broccoli starting to flower or turn yellow, it's best to harvest it right away. After harvesting the main head, the plant will continue to produce side shoots. Harvest these side shoots when they reach the desired color and firmness.

Growing Instructions:
FOR OUTDOOR PLANTING:
Choose a full sun location with well-drained soil, and make sure all frost risks have passed before planting. Sow the seed 1 inch deep and space them 18 inches apart in the soil. Each row of seeding should be at least 12 to 20 inches apart. Firmly cover and press the soil over the seeds, keeping it moist until germination occurs in approximately 3 to 7 days. Water the plants when the soil becomes dry about 5cm below the surface (check by lightly scratching the soil with your finger). Water deeply in the early morning or late afternoon and avoiding wetting.

STARTING EARLY INDOORS:
Begin indoor planting 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date. Fill trays, punnets, or jiffy pots with high-quality seed-raising mix or use soil starter pellets. Sow the seeds 5mm deep and keep the soil consistently moist, avoiding excessive wetness or dryness. Seeds should germinate in about 3 to 7 days at a soil temperature between 8°C and 30°C. Transplant the seedlings to the garden once they have their first true leaves and are large enough to handle (usually around 2 - 4" tall). Space the plants 18" apart, with rows 12 - 20" apart.
