The South side of the magnet is countersunk for a #10 screw, which makes this magnet excellent for making a magnetic latch or just attaching items to it. For creating a magnetic latch, pair this magnet with an identical magnet that is countersunk on the south pole. If you pair with an identical magnet you can make a magnetic spring.
