1996 RIVERBOATS 3095a Pane of 20 x 32 cents US Postage Stamps

In 1996 the USPS issued the first commemoratives to be totally in self-adhesive format, these stamps were also the first to be separated by simulated die-cut perfs. Picturing five riverboats from the turn of the century - Robt. E. Lee, Sylvan Dell, Far West, Rebecca Everingham, and Bailey Gatzert - these stamps represent a bygone era. Chosen for their historical significance as well as their visual appeal, the boats represent five different regions.
