President John F. Kennedy lives on in the hearts of Americans. In his honor, our artists have colorized his legendary profile on the JFK Half Dollar and created this spectacular design for the coin. By his side is the portrait of his elegant wife Jackie along with the now famous image of his young son John's salute during the funeral procession in Washington D.C. The JFK Half Dollar was first minted in 1964. It continues to be minted today for collectors and is not placed in circulation. The coin was designed by Frank Gasparro and Gilroy Roberts. JFK was the 35th president of the United States from 1961 until 1963. His assassination while in office shook America to it's core.
