Brings out the beauty of the wood grain. J.E. Moser's Oil Soluble, Oak Aniline Dye Stain is a dry powder that is dissolved to produce a stain of exceptional clarity, color and grain accentuation. Will not raise wood grain: Normally mixed in a concentration of one ounce of stain to one quart of toluol or high grade lacquer thinner; strain prior to use. Can also be dissolved in turpentine and naptha or added to varnish, tung oil, danish oil or padding finishes to add a very transparent color. Not as permanent as water soluble aniline dyes but very versatile and offers the finisher many options in application. Available in 1-, 4- and 8 oz. containers. Mix only what will be immediately used. Can be applied with brush, cloth, spray or dipping. Not for exterior use; for applications that receive strong direct sunlight, use a topcoat with UV additives. Additional shades as well as alcohol and water soluble aniline dyes available.
